Hey there!

     So after 4 months on deviantART I think it's fair to say that it is officially my new favourite website, if only I had started a page sooner! (Quick side note: This is simply my train of thought so you're not obliged to read all this XD)

  Although I have only been here a short while, I have already learnt a lot both in terms of improving my own skills as well as how to interact with the deviantART community. The reason I started a page here was not only to share my art but to appreciate others also.
  So I guess I should talk about myself now. Hmm... it's never easy. Well, I better start with something art related. I've been drawing ever since I was a kid. One drawing I remember doing was a sketch of a jungle which featured a lion, a snake and other wild creatures. I named the drawing, "Gungle"... close enough.
  Looking back at my old drawings from childhood, it makes me smile as I remember how proud I was of each and every one. As terrible as they look to me now, the fact that I enjoyed doing it at the time is all that really matters. Secondly, the relationship between me and art is kinda complicated. I love doing it but I am my own worst critic. I pick out every error in my drawings even when you guys on here give me such amazing compliments for them. But hey, being a perfectionist can be a positive thing, right?
Maybe it's not even trying to be perfect. Maybe I'm just too stubborn to give up sometimes.

My painting of Neytiri would never have been seen if I had just given up at the initial sketch... you should have seen it, it was hilarious! But perseverance helped me finish it and then share it with you guys.

  Hmm... other hobbies. Video games. Lara Croft Tomb Raider has gotta be one of my favourite series ever, next to Assassin's Creed. I've always thought I was kinda weird, you know being a girl gamer coz I could never talk about them with my friends. Luckily my dads super into them too and we've had some awesome times on the Xbox We also have a Wii although have the time everyone is way too lazy to play it XD

  Anyway, that's pretty much me. Haha! XD Yep, art and video games, the end. Oh! I almost forgot music! I'll probably add a list of what I listen too on my Profile at some point. Music is probably the most inspirational thing for me when I draw. I listened to Final Fantasy soundtracks when I was painting Lightning, Adele - Skyfall with Daniel Craig and Avatar soundtrack - Jake's First Flight with Neytiri. It just puts me in a unique state of mind where I'm not worrying about every brush stroke I make. I can relax and let myself be taken to Pandora for example.

  More Avatar artwork on the way, although school work is pretty crazy right now so it may be a while. I wish I could paint every day and upload a deviation at least once a week but... DAMN YOU EDUCATION. Thanks if you are currently watching me... wait what? Never thought I'd say that, sounds creepy but you know what I mean I really do appreciate your support <3
